“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say REJOICE!” Philippians 4:4
Yes… again, that is a made up number. I only made sure that it was higher than my frustrations. We have so much more to be thankful for than we have to complain here in America. However, it seems so much easier to complain.
But today….I am rejoicing over a quiet morning. The first one ALL week! My husband put E on the bus at 5:55am (yes, it really comes that early!)….I decided to sleep in until 7:15, so I missed one of my teenagers before they left for school, and I saw the other one as she was getting in her car. Just a quick, “I love you, Mom”. No complaining, yelling, whining, etc.
My husband was the next to go. After he left, I sat down with my cup of coffee and played my game (Solitaire Tripeaks) on my iPad for the next hour. YES! I wasted time! I would love to say that I sat down and read my Bible, but I have not yet done that this morning. I “brain-vegged”.
So, CHEERS! (with my coffee cup!). Here’s hoping for a peaceful rest of my day!
”Be anxious for nothing. But in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (nkjv)
